Win the election without leaving home

Vancouver, BC - December 21, 2005 - The creators of Prime Minister Forever have produced a customized version of the popular campaign game for use in the CBC's election coverage.

Prime Minister Forever - Canada 2006 uses detailed modeling to create an election simulation that delivers both gameplay and realism. Players can test their political savvy by controlling all aspects of their candidate's election strategy from the point of view of a campaign manager.

"This CBC version allows the large number of people who would normally download the demo to play the campaign the whole way through," said Anthony Burgoyne, lead developer. "We're happy users get the chance to experience more of the game for free."

Visitors to www.cbc.ca/canadavotes can download an expanded demonstration version that will work until one week after the federal election.

The goal is simple for parties like the Liberals and Conservatives: win enough seats to form the government. The latest release also allows candidates from smaller parties, such as the Bloc Quebecois and the Green Party, to achieve specific goals without winning the election. Users must decide how to use limited resources: plan and buy advertising, conduct fundraising, give speeches, recruit supporters and spin the news.

The CBC version allows users to play as any of Canada's major parties. The full version features all parties and the ability to add or edit candidates and is available in Windows® 98/ME/2000/XP format for purchase online at www.80soft.com.
