This screen determines the debates in the general election (not the primaries debates, which are determined elsewhere). You can create new debates, remove debates, or edit a debate’s information.
Debates
Click on a debate to view its information.
- Type: A Leader debate means it is for the Presidential candidates, a Vice-Leader debate means it is for the Vice-Presidential candidates.
- Date: The date the debate is on. You can modify the date by clicking in the box, and changing the year, month, or day, or by clicking the down-arrow, which brings up a calendar box.
- Language: What language the debate is in. Currently, only English can be selected.
- % to Qualify: What percentage a candidate will need in the general election polls to qualify for the debate. They need to have this percentage 1 week before the debate occurs.
- Create New: Creates a new debate.
- Remove: Removes an existing debate.
What about debates for the primaries?
Go to Step 5. in Campaigns Forever, select a party, and click the Debates button that party’s screen.
