Sorry I did not respond right away

Anyway, I can add to their percentages through that option perfectly fine. What I wanted to do was subtract percentages using that same option, but apparently it does not read the numbers inputed (like -25) as negative, but positive, thereby increasing his support instead. Is there any way to do this?

Hi James,

If you want bonuses or penalties based on specific candidates, then you would have to do it through the candidate bonuses.

Question: can you add to their percentages by putting in positive numbers?

I am actually working on a scenario, and some of the possible nominees are quite polarizing. Therefore, I wanted, according to their political views, increase support in some states, while decrease it in other states. However, for some reason I cannot remove support through the bounuses as I though I could by inputing a negative number. Is there any way to do something similar with the desired result?

Hi Chris,
This is a known bug. For a workaround, you can directly edit the XML file (parties.xml) in your scenario folder with a text editor (such as Notepad), and set the correct value.

I am creating a scenario that is perfect in every way except for one tiny detail.
Whenever I try to change a candidate's home region it always resets itself back to defualt (alabama).
Why is this???

Hi Robert,
The best way for us to diagnose this is for you to send us ( http://www.theoryspark.com/interact/contact.htm ) a zipped (compressed) version of your scenario, with a detailed description of the problem you are encountering.

Oh, and also, now when I try to create a new Leader the program makes an access violation. I feel like these might be bugs in the program...? And also, I tried giving a leader a home political region manually, by opening up the document in Microsoft Word, and when I tried to open him up in the game he was back to no home region.

I'm working on a scenario in which I have successfully loaded a brand new map and put in all sorts of political units, but when I try to create parties, something strange happens. Whenever I have to input a political region, either for the convention or for a candidate's home region, the program doesn't seem to appropriately register my choice. Specifically, it puts all my Vice-Leaders and conventions onto the last country on my list, and it simply puts a blank on my Leaders, which causes an error and prevents me from finishing the scenario. What on earth is going on?
