I was playing the game and following the convention my funds were reset to $84MM, but i had more than that in my funds. How do I turn that off?
Hi Chad,
At the beginning of the turn, after you party’s convention, you will be asked whether you want to accept public financing or not. Click ‘No’ to keep the amount of money you currently have (and be able to fundraise during the general election).
Hi, downloaded the demo via link from Democracy 2 website. Game looks fascinating. Had a question. How is the complexion of the electorate created? Meaning, how are the issues of importance and the division of views generated and broken down among the states and the people within? Typically current events influence priorities etc. In the 2008 election cycle terrorism had a much smaller weight than in 2004.
Thanks in advance.

What is the difference between the 2008 edition and the 2008 Wonk edition?
Hi Dave,
From Version Information ( http://theoryspark.com/help/political_games/president_forever/version-information/ ):
United States - 2008 - Wonk Edition which is completely revamped and enhanced from the 2008 scenario and includes:
new candidates
new issues
new ad types
new events
more realistic percentages
and more
Hi Frank,
The electorate is modeled regionally (by state), including issue centers and percentages. Issue profiles are national.
These can all change due to various events or player actions during the election. They change based on the scenario year as well.
I keep getting acess violations. Any advice?
Yes, send us an e-mail ( http://www.theoryspark.com/interact/contact.htm ) with a detailed description of the problem you are experiencing.
Is there a scenario with 1976 on it ?
Hi Bishar,
Yes. See the Scenarios page for President Forever 2008 + Primaries here: http://www.theoryspark.com/political_games/president_forever/scenarios/p4e8.htm
I recently bought your game and I love it,but I haven’t gotten the 1960 scenario with Nixon and Kennedy.I do have the 1.6.0.6 version,is there something I need to update or I am I missing something?
Hi Parker,
The 1960 scenario has been delayed several times. I can’t say when it will be released. We will announce it on the forum ( http://80soft.ipbhost.com ) or you can sign up to be notified here:

I have to ask you guys antoher question,I want to Download another scenario from your website, butI don’t know how to use winzip, could you give me any advice on how to unzip the file?
Hi Parker,
You don’t need to use WinZip. If you are using Windows xp, download the file to your desktop. Then right click on the .zip file, then left click Open With > Compressed (zipped) folders. Then move the newly created scenario folder to President Forever 2008 + Primaries > Scenarios.
Thanks for the help,we compressed the file,(you were right,we didn’t need win zip.)but now I don’t know how to move it to Presidents Forever+Primaries folder. If I knew how to do that,I would be a okay!
Hi Parker,
If the folder that was extracted from the zip file is on your desktop, right-click on it and select ‘Copy’. Then go to My Computer, find your President Forever 2008 + Primaries folder (usually C: > Program Files > President Forever 2008 + Primaries), then go to the Scenarios folder. Then click ‘Edit’ on the menu bar, and click ‘Paste’.
May I make a suggestion for the next U.S election game you make, can you make a recount button if a state is close enough to possibly have recount?Because it is discouraging when you win the popular vote and then lose the electoral vote.2nd,this is for Zion. Can you make a California Gubernatorial 2002 when you have the time?
Hi Parker,
Thanks for the feedback. Recount button idea is noted. As for Zion, I don’t know if he’s reading these comments - another place to ask is the board ( http://80soft.ipbhost.com ).
I have windows vista and I cant figure out how to download the scenarios…. Ive downloaded them but they dont show up on my Presidents forever 2008 scenarios… Help?
On the fourm,I got registered, but do I have to make a scenario to make a poll?Do I have to have campaigns forever to make a poll?
@Ben,
Have you looked at the installation instructions ( http://scenarios.theoryspark.com/install/ )?
@Parker,
Do you mean to make a forum poll? No, you should be able to make a poll. If you are unable to, please let me know and I will look into it.
What was President Forever 2000 Classic, what was it like?Oh,to answer your question,it lets me make one,I did a poll on which was your favorite P4E+Primaries scenario. My question was,did you have to make scenarios to make topics/polls ect.
i cant add a leader i have 1.7
I was wondering how congress works if no candidate recieves a majority of the EVs? Is it by party or by issue or amalgamation? Wondering because I just ran and lost very, very narrowly as Ross Perot.
I’m having thr same problem Ben mentions above. I have windows vista and I cant figure out how to download the scenarios…. Ive downloaded them but they dont show up on my Presidents forever 2008 scenarios… Help?
