The map portion of the President Forever + Primaries interface, in conjunction with the summary panel (adjacent to the map) and the candidate movement controls (below the map), enable you to quickly assess:
- The status of the national and regional popular percentage.
- The status and location of advertisements.
- The location of your candidate as well as the opposing candidates.
- The status and location of footsoldiers.
- The status and location of momentum.
- The status of ballot access for parties.
To view detailed information in the summary panel
- Click the region in the map. The summary panel displays the regional flag and detailed constituency information for that region.
- To view the national numbers, click the map, but not on one of the regions.
This is what the summary panel looks like (national view):

If you start with Primaries on, until the General Election you will be able to switch between Primaries viewing mode and General Election viewing mode, but clicking the ‘P’ button on the main screen.
The national map enables you to use different viewing modes so you can better assess the status of several aspects of your campaign.
- Regular viewing mode: This is the default viewing mode. This view color-codes regions according to the polled popular vote. For example in the 2008 scenario, Republican regions are colored red, Democratic regions are blue, and so on. Regions where a party has a larger lead are a deeper shade of their color. If in Primaries viewing mode, the colors will be for the candidates in the party selected. If a region is white, the popular vote is too close to call.
- Ad viewing mode
: Enables you to see where you and your opponents have ads running. During the primaries, if there is more than one candidate left in your party then you will not see any ads for your party if you are in the General Election viewing mode. If there are more than 4 players, click the up and down arrows on the candidate selection panel to change the ads being viewed on the map. The higher the antenna, the more Power the ads running in that region. - Footsoldier viewing mode
: Enables you to see where you are your opponents have footsoldiers. A plus indicates that a footsoldier is currently being created by that player in that region. During the primaries, if there is more than one candidate left in your party then you will not see any footsoldiers for your party if you are in the General Election viewing mode. If there are more than 4 players, click the up and down arrows on the candidate selection panel to change the footsoldiers being viewed on the map. - Momentum viewing mode
: Enables you to see where you are your opponents have momentum. An upward fence post indicates positive momentum, a downward fence post indicates negative momentum. During the primaries, if there is more than one candidate left in your party then you will not see any fence posts for your party if you are in the General Election viewing mode. If there are more than 4 players, click the up and down arrows on the candidate selection panel to change the footsoldiers being viewed on the map. - Ballot access viewing mode
: Enables you to see where your party has ballot access. If you are in the Primaries viewing mode, this shows where the party selected has primaries. If you are in General Election viewing mode, this shows where your party has ballot access.
- To change the viewing mode, click the desired viewing mode button at the bottom-right of the map.
Candidate Location
The map also enables you to move while setting up your candidate’s activities and view your Presidential candidate’s location, as well as view your opponent’s locations. Your candidate’s location is marked by a rectangular flag in your candidate’s colors. Your opponents are marked with flags in their respective colors. Your Vice-Presidential candidate’s location is marked by a triangular flag in your candidate’s colors. To view Vice-Presidential candidate flags, click on the Vice-Presidential flag button.

Hi,
Bought this game a few weeks ago and am really loving it. Questions:How do I tell if this is the latest version released? Will there be updates to this game that also list the number of states being won/or won when the election night is running?
Thank You
