Issues in your Theme will give you Power bonuses when you campaign on those issues. After several turns of being in your Theme, an issue will get a +1 Power bonus, and after several more turns, the bonus will go to +2. However, if you change the issue then the bonus will be lost, and you must start over. Changing who you are focusing on for an issue, however, will not change the bonus.
Your Theme is used by your candidate when barnstorming, and by your crusaders and foot soldiers while they are campaigning, but the foot soldiers don’t get the theme bonus. Ads (although not having to use theme issues) do get the theme bonus.
To view or set your theme
- In the main screen, click “Theme”.
NOTE You can campaign with three issues at any time.
- To change an issue, click “Change” for the issue.
- To change the focus of the issue, in the Select Theme Focus dialog box, select the candidate that you want to focus on.
- To select a new issue, click the issue item and click “OK”.
You can also view all the other players’ themes by clicking the ‘All’ button on the Theme screen.
